day 1 of aod to t5 swap..

hey guys just did a little on the stang.. got the steering column removed.. all the wiring and driver seat out..took off all bolts from pedals that top left one is a bit*ch tomorrow is the real fun removel of the old pedals, install manual pedals, and relocate speedo cable.. and info or tips you have is welcomed

subscribing....but why do you have to take the steering column out?

to replace the pedal assembly. you don't really need to completely pull the column, but it makes it easier. let us know how it goes! i've done that to 3 cars, hated doing it everytime. lol

Just pay real close attention to how you twist and turn the pedal assembly to get it out and put the new one in the same way. Took me about an hour to do my pedal swap. It was still a PITA, but not as bad as I thought. Have fun.

That nut is easy as pie with a 24" extension, going at it from above the pedal box. Just look straight forward from where the steering wheel used to be and you'll see that it's a clean shot.

yea u just need to drop it down some... very easy... yea just made sure you twist it the same way in as you did out...
