Does anyone know what this does? I didn't think our cars had daytime running ligts but this module is in the wiring schematic and the only relay for headlights listed if you go to the autopart store.

We sure do have one. It turns on the high-beam filament but runs it at a decreased voltage They have it wired also to the E-break switch, I notice my DRL's turn off when I pull the E-break.

Canadian Stangs (all Canadian cars for that matter) have DRL.

That's kind of interesting. I had no idea. Thanks for the head up. But for US stangs is it something that is not on the car? Or is it there and doesn't get used? Or is it there and does something else too? I might be doing some upgrading to the headlight wiring and need to know where this ties in.

Badstang- I really don't know the answer to those questions, sorry. I just know that vehicles made after a certain year ('95 or '96 I think) for use in Canada are required to have daytime running lamps.

Pick up a Haynes or Chilton's manual and check out the wiring diagrams, they might answer your questions... If not, I'm sure your local Ford dealership will know.

I have the chilton manual and looked through the schematics. I really can't tell how it fits into the scheme of things from that though. Looks like I may have to hit ford.
