You can add my name to the list. I have a 05 V-6 that I purchased last August. Since then it has had the battery go dead 4 times. First time was in November. The second time was in December, about 2 weeks after the first.
This time when I turned the key there was nothing, not even the dash lights came on. I jumped it and took it to the dealer. They told me the driver's door switch was bad and that that was sending a faulty signal that was draining the battery. The 3rd time was couple weeks after that. I jumped it again and took it back to the dealer again. This time they said the battery had a dead cell in it and replaced it. OK, thought that would do it. WRONG!! It just happened to me again this past Friday. No dash lights again, nothing. This time, the drivers door window started going down on it's own when I opened the door and stopped when I closed it. When I opened it again, it started going down again. This was happening before I jumped it. Everything was dead!! After I jumped it and it was running, the stereo started to search for CD's but the stereo wasn't on. You could hear changer moving, looking for a CD to play. As with other people that wrote in with the same problem, this car has the Shaker 500 system in it. Needless to say, The car is back at the dealer again for round 3.
Can you say Lemon Law??
If anyone has any clues, please share.
