There is no such thing as true neutrality; you will find that you are leaning toward one side or the other. We all are inherently evil. We are born in sin, seeking our own and ignoring the needs of others from the git-go.
To Sin is To believe. Therefore I have never Sinned.

Now I am curious(and I am a curious creature). If I may ask, kiddiccarus; what are your beliefs/belief (honor code, karma, etc.)or do you not subscribe to belief systems(I have studied quite a few belief systems).
If thats too personal, I apologize; I am just curious now as to what drives you(?).

Never too personal for me I am straight forward in all that I do.

1. Why I am here (Darwin)
2. Is there life off of this planet, I don't know but the thought of there not being a possibility is ignorant. We cannot be the smartest form of life out here.
3. Karma, Do on to me, well I don't play well with others nuff said on that one.
4. Honor, Well I was a Sniper so honor is to tell the truth the first time in spite of any consequence that may come of it.
5. If you are asking of my belief in a diety, all religions are a form of a cult in one way or another and I do not subscribe to those beliefs. I have done way too many things in my duties throughout the military to believe that a diety will save someone.

Well, we are not too far at odds my friend. I too am a thinking man, and oft times find myself to be at odds with what is considered main stream in my faith.

1. After thorough study of the Bible(which I do believe is without error) and theoretical physics I believe that the "infinite(perfect)state" is God(if we as finite[high order] beings have intellect, why would an infinite[perfect order] state be without intellect). Jesus Christ came to deal with "entropy--disorder will always increase in a closed system"( I interpret disorder to be sin, and Jesus to be the only way of salvation, he is the gate to God's state of perfection where there is no disorder).
I don't think Darwinian evolution is way off(though I have my own theory on that).

2.I believe that certain passages of prophetic literature point to the existence of extraterrestrial life, and an arrival of same before the end. Little green men, no, but another intelligence, yes.

3.We will reap what we sow, in this life, and if we are not saved, in the next as well.
(I too am difficult to get along with, I had a bad childhood, and grew up a fierce loner-I have difficulty to this day with socializing, members at my church can attest to that, though I am getting better at it)

4.My definition of honor is to do my best to do unto others as I would have them do unto me, to give as freely as I have received, and to serve the Lord as best as I can in all situations. I too observe the truth and disdain lying, I also try to be quick to apologize. I am not perfect, and will not attain it (perfection)in this life, though I will not give up.

5.Thankyou for being open enough to have entertained this discussion. You are a true gentleman.

Can anyone dispute the fact that Jesus Christ is the most controversial figure in history, for 2000 years everyone has had something to say about him and his teachings. All religions(that I have studied/encountered) acknowledge his existence, though say different things about who he was. Noone has recieved so much attention, be it good or bad. That in itself says something about the validity/timelessness of his message.

No problem in the discussion and I never fault anyone for their beliefs and will never try tp persuade one to follow mine. I am who I am and the people who know me understand me and that is all I ask for.

I actually like having discussions that are off topic some times but I dont like to offend people. (My work background and me saying I dont like to offend HMMMMMM)

I like to show people how the Bible is true. Favorite pastime of mine. What's weirder and harder to explain is how some people taking in all the proofs and still reject it. That's the one that puzzles me.

If you haven't heard the truth and good news of the Bible, it is AWESOME!

I was thinking about this today, and I would like to challenge anyone who's game to read the Gospel of John, which is an eyewitness account of the last three years of Jesus' life written by his disciple and close friend John.
Most people who reject Jesus Christ have never read his words for themselves . Reading one book of the Bible will not render you into a mindless slave, but it will give you another perspective, like listening to a new band or checking out a new artist. If you dislike it, at least know why you do.
Don't judge the teachings of Christ solely by the actions of imperfect people like me struggling to follow Jesus.

You know the world's 12 thousand years old and dinosaurs existed, they existed in that time, you'd think it would have been mentioned in the ****ing Bible at some point.

"And lo Jesus and the disciples walked to Nazareth. But the trail was blocked by a giant brontosaurus... with a splinter in his paw. And O the disciples did run a shriekin': 'What a big ****ing lizard, Lord!'

But Jesus was unafraid and he took the splinter from the brontosaurus's paw and the big lizard became his friend.

And Jesus sent him to Scotland where he lived in a loch for O so many years inviting thousands of American tourists to bring their fat ****ing families and their fat dollar bills.

And oh Scotland did praise the Lord. Thank you Lord, thank you Lord. Thank you Lord."

Get this, I actually asked one of these guys, OK, Dinosaurs fossils - how does that fit into you scheme of life? Let me sit down and strap in.

He said, "Dinosaur fossils? God put those there to test our faith."

Thank God I'm strapped in right now here man.

I think God put you here to test my faith, Dude.

You believe that?

"uh huh."

Does that trouble anyone here? The idea that God.. might be.. ****in' with our heads? I have trouble sleeping with that knowledge. Some prankster God running around:

"Hu hu ho. We will see who believes in me now, ha ha."

[mimes God burying fossils]

"I am God, I am a prankster."

"I am killing Me."

You know, You die and go to St. Peter...

"Did you believe in dinosaurs?"

"Well, yeah. There was fossils everywhere"

Thuh [trapdoor opens]

"Aaaaaaarhhh!"

"You ****in idiot."

"Flying lizards, you're a moron. God was ****in' with you!"

"It seemed so plausible, ahhhh!"

"Enjoy the lake of fire, ****er!"

Cougar,

Dinosaurs are mentioned extensively in the Bible. Does anyone that's not a believer ever read anymore? You can't just ask one guy out there about what he thinks is truth and then be done with it - who is he to answer you? What if he's stupid?

I pulled this from the Passion thread from a couple months back, http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=428569&page=3&pp=25&highlight=passion "Dinosaurs, "Behemoth" and "Leviathon" are discussed in great length in Job 40 and 41 and other dinosaurs mentioned in many other verses. In the Bible, Man lived at the same time. In museums, we have footprints of humans and Dinosaurs frozen in the same fossils.
Interesting note, no missing link has ever been found showing humans from lower forms during evolution although that would be the chief find many scientist have spent a career searching for. Further a study I read mentioned that we should be literally tripping over them at a rate of 4 thousand to 1 to each dinosaur skeleton found. This is because to evolutionist - man came many, many millions of years after the dinosaurs, very few dinosaurs bones have been able to survive the milleniums of their theory of time, and the fresher missing links should be very "recent" in comparison. Missing links should be an easier find as they populated more area of the earth than any of the different types of dinosaurs. Yet none have been found. Who's to say many of the primitive tools and paintings found in caves weren't done by kids out playing?"

Anyway, if you really want to know the correct information - it is there. That's fair enough. If you want to consider a topic let us Christian guys know and we'll tell you where it's found.
