Did anybody see this? I know there is nothing worse than loosing a child (I'm a father) but to blame Slayer and Diecide for their deaths and not the KIDS and PARENTS of kids who committed the crime is ridiculous!

This show was obviously biased against metal and the kids who listen to it. There are probably more evil priests than murderous death metal fans!! You're going to have bad people in any group, no matter what it is, and to blame a musician who has know idea what some nutcase is doing is absurd!!

Just had to get this off my chest...

Weak show.

That's why I didn't watch it; I knew what it'd be about

On the flipside, VH1 has a metal documentary airing currently that is VERY good. If you haven't seen that, check it out.

Yeah, I watched part of it and got bored. I'm sick of people blaming music for what their corrupt and retarded kids do. I listen to death metal and, believe it or not, have no urge to go out and murder anybody.

Go figure.

Then there's retards like this guy: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/LAC.20060915.SHOOTINGMAIN15/TPStory/

You ever notice NO OTHER murderers are ever spoken about in a sentence such as, "Hopkins, an avid country & western fan listing his favorite bands as Shania Twain and the Oak Ridge Boys, opened fire on..."

But once the media finds out the criminal likes metal, all hell breaks loose.

Great, here comes the witch hunt again. Since the douche in Montreal that did the shootings over the weekend was sporting a mohawk, I suppose that means they're once again going to come after Sascha K. of KMFDM (industrial-metal) to try to blame him for inspiring stupid kids to go kill people.

What sort of music d'you suppose Charles Manson listened to? What about John Wayne Gayce? The Unabomber? BTK? The Baseline Killer (assuming the one they've caught recently is actually him)? Call me weird, but I consider serial killers far more a danger than some random psycho that gets a bug up his butt to go on a whiskey-fueled shooting spree in a school. After all, it takes 'em a lot longer to nab a serial killer than a raving lunatic that's gone postal - weeks, months, sometimes years - and the resultant body count is just as high, if not higher.

Not that I condone violent psychopaths' actions, but at least when a nutjob goes shooting up a public place, 9 times outta 10 they have the decency to blow their own head off so we can all be spared from having to endure several months/years of criminal trial details on the headline of every friggin' news report ... only to have 'em given a life sentence to a cozy cell with 24/7 security, free meals/health/dental/cable TV, and no responsibility thereafter.

Oh, and of course there was heavy mention of the site vampirefreaks.com, repeatedly brought up time and time again as though it had some sort of causal significance in the matter. Okay, so some other kids on the site previously were convicted of a triple homicide. But, y'know, they probably were avid fans of, say, Mountain Dew, as well. Mayhaps the excessive intake of caffeine affected their judgement, inspiring violent behavior? Beware anyone you see tipping back a can or, worse yet, a 20-ouncer of Mountain Dew! They're a ticking time bomb!

I, too, have been a fan of Megadeth for years, I like an occasional bit of Jack Daniels, and I've been helping run a goth/industrial webste for years. Does that make me a potential shooting rampage participant? I don't own anything more dangerous than a friggin' single-shot BB gun that I keep in my drawer to scare off coyotes that sometimes wander into our park at night.

And, for the record, three weapons is not an "ARSENAL." Three of EACH (pistol, rifle, shotgun) would be a bit closer to a "stash," but really, any of us who know someone who collects firearms as a hobby knows that three guns ain't diddly. Your average American gun nut has, what, ten or twenty different firearms of various size, type, caliber, etc. at any given time in their house...?

Actaully I missed the one on the Discovery channel. But that one on VH1 was on last night also. I thought it was pretty good. Norweigan death metal musicians are really insane.

LMAO The host sticks up for the church burning saying what the heck there just Vikings.

A long article about Mayhem. The last paragraph is classic.

People need to learn to take responsibility and stop trying to point the finger.

Hell just yesterday i was coming up on a car double parked in the street. I saw a few little kids running around so i slowed down, kicking in the clutch and started riding the brakes in. All the sudden one kid darted out and i steppon the brakes and stopped literally 50 feet away (i was only doing about 15MPH and was kinda expecting the kid to do that)

Meanwhile, the father who was standing right there the whole time says NOTHING to the kid and starts scowling at me. As i drive up he yells at me to slow down!

I exchanged a few choice words with him about his lack of parenting skills and drove off.

Parents don't teach their kids anything these days.

People suck, plain and simple. There should, like, be a law against making more people. People should be, like, illegal ... or something. And stuff. Um, yeah.

This is why I decided to suck blood for a living (phlebotomy). I get to stick it to the man every day. Well, and the woman. And a few infants now and then, too ... y'know, when they need a PKU done, or whatever.

Wait! I'm a professional vampire, I listen to Megadeth, I drink whiskey, I own a serrated kitchen steak knife ... oh, God! I can hear a helicopter circling overhead! There's a SWAT team assembling outside my door! Wait! Officer! I swear, I was only tr--...

That's exactly how it goes. It's not the kids fault he ran out in the street, it's your fault for driving down the street.

lol

3 guns is nothing, I had personally, (Ipaid for them and b-day presents!!) 3 guns before I was twelve. A remington 20 ga shotgun, a ruger 10/22 and a little POS .22 semi suto pistol. The ruger and shotgun were my b-day presents and bought and sol the pistol after two weeks. It sucked anyway.
