Dec C&D reporting 13.8 @ 102 MPH ????

Some of the other Mustang sites are reporting that C&D tested a 2005 Mustang GT @ 13.8 @ 102. The info. apparently was first posted on a LS1 web-site. No word whether it's an ATX or MTX, but I suspect it's a MTX.

Some of you are going to say that 13.8 is slow. But C&D usually posts slow times. And they correct all times for "standard" temperature, altitude, barometric pressure, humidity, etc.

I researched what C&D got for times on other Mustangs for comparison:

12.9 @ 112 - 2003 Mustang Cobra - April 2003

14.0 @ 103 - 2003 Mach 1, MTX - - - December 2002 issue

15.1 @ 93 - 2002 Mustang GT, ATX - September 2002

12.9 @ 111 - 2003 Mustang Cobra - June 2002

13.5 @ 105 - 2001, Mustang Cobra, MTX - July 2001 (has missing HP fix installed)

14.7 @ 96 - 2001 Mustang GT Vert, ATX - May 2001

13.2 @ 110 - 2000 Mustang Cobra R - April 2000

14.6 @ 98 - 1999 Mustang Cobra Vert - August 1999 (one of the missing HP Cobras)

14.1 @ 101 - 1999 Mustang Cobra Coupe - April 1999 (another missing HP Cobra)

That's an extremely good time coming from Car and Driver.

I would say that 13.5-13.6 is what we can expect if they got 13.8.

This is a damn nice car guys.

Yeah I remember the "Low Impact Sports" special they did in 2002. The drove a 2002 gt to a scalding fast time of 15.1 .
