I have factory under-dash AC that I am eventually going to replace with Classic Auto Air Perfect Fit AC... so, potentially, I will re-use the original compressor.

In the mean time, I don't need AC at the moment, and I need the under dash portion removed because I am putting in a center console.

Is it possible to shut off the flow of fluid and disconnect the lines, but leave the compressor installed? Or will that damage something or be unsafe?

If it is possible, I'd appreciate any information on the procedure.

Thanks

If you find the proper plugs you can cap those lines off and disconnect the wire going to your compressor. this will keep your compressor clutch from kicking in.

Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for your suggestion. It turns out the lines were already discharged so it was a simple matter of disconnecting the lines and capping them as you suggested. Thank you again.
