Anyone ever buy this from design concepts? I know cervinis is suppose to be the perfect fit but I'm just wondering because its well over 100 bucks cheaper.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

I have one on my car, all it needed was light sanding, and because i was anal at the time, i knocked down a small casting line on the bumper.

Overall a very nice peice though.

Ive got one of there rear bumpers, my car has been hit in the rear lightly so it doenst line up the best on the driver side but other then that it fit good, couldnt coplain about the fit, i just lightly sanded mine and primed it. I think it was worth the money.

"You get what you pay for"
I can't say that enough. You'll buy that designs concept and wish you had the cervinis. And remember, remember more prep time equals more money. And at $50.00 plus dollars an hour. That $100 difference doesn't sound so bad anymore does it? Buy it right the first time! CERVINIS = QUALITY

so, do you have one? what experience do you have with it? was it a friend of a friend that knew a guy who bought one?

You just had two guys that OWN one say all that was needed was light sanding before paint, just like any Cervini's peice you will ever buy. If you think light sanding before paint is out of the ordinary for fiberglass parts, then you obviously never prepped a car for paint.

Sorry for the rant, but i just cannot stand when people with limited background of a subject preach like they are speaking gospel.

I have the Cervini's and it is a OEM quality top of the line piece! My body man made me test fit it first, even though I assured him that it was not necessary. It fit perfectly, and all of the body lines are crisp and well detailed. Do a search, there was a very recent thread with pics of just how bad the Design Concepts Cobra bumper cover actually is. There were pics of the Cervini's on the same thread, that is what sold me. So I do have first hand experience and you do get what you pay for. I did a Design Concepts SLN wing a few years ago, and it was a decent piece. It did require a bunch of extra body work, and there were a bunch of air pockets on the edges etc. The fiberglass was also a wee bit thin in other places. Still a quality piece, but it took extra body work, and filler and sanding and filler and sanding and you get the idea lol!

The thing with design Concepts specifically, is that you never know what you're going to get until it gets there. I don't know how much of what they sell they actually make but a good portion of it isn't made by them at all. I've never been to their facility so I don't know if they actually make anything at all. They may just be a vendor.
