Hi, new here and was wondering about using detail spray. My previous hobby was Goldwing touring and the dealer hooked me up with some Honda detail spray to use in between wash its an aerosal spray that works very good for removing bugs and just kinda light cleaning. you just spray on and wipe off. is anyone using anything like this?? thanks for any input.

i'm affriad to use any of that without washing the car first....I just think of any dirt or containments getting brushed up against the paint and creating swirls.

I go across it with a California Duster first. Then hit it with the quick delailer spray.

Works great... without creating swirls in the wax.

I use the Meguiars stuff. I usually use the stuff in the red bottle. I use pretty much all Meguiars stuff on my car. Turtle Wax Ice isn't bad (but the wax sucks).

poor boys and flash wax has some nice products as well...as mentioned I have no experience with it but friends that do are very satisified over off the shelf products.

A Big Plus 1 on Ultimate Quick Detailer. I have an 05 Black GT and have tried Mother's and the other versions of Meguires detailer and this one beats them all hands down. If the car is been kept clean and wiped down with a California Duster
the Ultimate will really make the finish POP. Goes on easy and wipes off easy no streaks or film.

I guess I dont use quick detailer unless I am claying the car. No way in ____ I would spray that on dirty paint, and especially wipe it off.

Washing the car FTW.

Lucas Slick Mist

I used to use Meguiars Ultimate Detailer after washing my cars and sometimes if I only had a light dust I would use a California Duster and then the detailer and always had good results. I had a chance to try Lucas Oil "Slick Mist" spray detailer / wax and the stuff is amazing The shine is brilliant and looks slippery wet but it doesn't leave the film that Meguiars Ultimate Detailer and Turtle Wax Ice do.

I got a 24 oz bottle from Advance Auto Parts for $7.95 and based on how much I've used I should get about 20-25 detailings out of a bottle.

Here is a link to Lucas Slick Mist:

Have used the megs. on my car when it was salted and gritty secret is to let it sit for a couple seconds before you wipe it off. Wipe off gently and then buff with clean microfibre.Have also been using the groitts waterless wash spray on wait a minute wipe off buff. No swirls or scratchs yet been doing it to my cars for years.
