Nice!

One question though...

Why do people paint the intake black? Just me wondering is all.

Tire shine does work good. I don't use the hose at all. I got stranded at the quarter car wash once when I washed the 5.0L in an old 91 GT I had. That sucked.

I used to spray my old engine with the hose because the previous owner had it covered in oil, but I always sprayed it at home out of fear of getting stranded. I made sure I covered the alt. and dizzy when I cleaned it; but the ol' garden hose isnt as good as a power washer though.

I painted mine black because i have some kinda black and white theme going on with my car haha... Thats the only reason i did.. Plus it was easier to keep clean. if i got grease on it, who is going to really notice

I like the black intake. When I still had the stock stuff on my 90 I painted the intake and valve covers black. Looked real good.

+1 on the black intake . Good job with the detailing. I have been thinking about doing my upper intake, and valve covers in a black wrinkle finish. Now after seeing yours, I'm going to do it.

I detailed my engine bay a little last weekend. First I used concentrated degresser then I did in fact pressure wash the engine bay at the car wash with no ill affects at all. I didn't cover the dist. or alt but I made sure to no apply to much water to those to area's. Then I came home an hit it with tire foam. The radiator hoses on a SSP are a ****** to get clean and new lookinf. I'm still working on them or plan to this weekend. I dont have any before pics but I can snap a after pic if anyone would like to see it.

Looks good, but why didn't you do the egr spacer Either way it looks cleaner than mine, all I have done is the good ole garden hose to my engine.

I used to like the silver intake look only, but the black grew on me after Coupes car and a couple others I've seen.
