Has anyone ever heard of a product called, DriWash'n'Guard ?? It's made by their parent company, DWG international...Anyway, if you haven't heard about it..It's a combination cleaner, polisher and protectent, which kind of works like a hand glaze..But on the other hand, is not a wax nor does it leave any kind of wax build up, unlike most waxes..What I really like about it is, you can clean you're vehicle, polish and protect it, all in one step, without having to use soap and water..And it really works, in fact I've used it for over 10 years on all my Mustangs, and have never had a single bad experience ever..It even cleans glass, chrome and plastic moldings, without any discoloring or streaking..How it works is, you spray it on a 2ft. square section at a time..Then apply with a microfiber towel, until you see a light haze, then take a second microfiber towel, and buff each section, then repeat the same steps for each section, and before you know it..you've cut more than half the time, it would normally take to wash, dry and finally wax you're car, in the conventional manner..Plus it leaves a glossy wet look shine, without leaving any swirls, in the paint..Anyway, if anyone may be interested in checking it out, for more info..just go to www.dwginternational.com and if you have any additional questions..Also, feel free to send me a private message..:nice:

The best place to learn how to take care of any car is Autopia as mentioned above.

http://www.autopia-carcare.com/how-to.html

There is no such thing as a wash, polish/cleaner, or wax that does it all, or at least that does it all very well. I followed the instructions from Autopia on washing, polishing and waxing and you would not believe the results. It is especially important if you have a black or red car as synthetic polishes leave a strange shine that looks nothing like carnuba. The best thing to do is wash her twice, use a nice synthetic polish/cleaner (they last up to a year), then top that with a coat or more of carnuba. Carnuba does not last very long (1-2 months depending on climate and whether or not you have a garage) but it gives the show car shine that these synthetics just cannot produce. The synthetics mostly protect the paint while the carnuba makes it pretty. I bought some of the products listed in their tutorials and applied them as directed and they are astonishing. I have not washed my car in two weeks and i still get compliments on it constantly, and by the way it has rained here almost daily for the last two weeks.:nice:

So now, you're also a car care expert, eh newbie ?? Well for you're info. Dri wash n guard has been around for over 20 years, and it really does it all, just as it claims..And I've used nothing but their products, for over 10 years on my Mustangs..However, if you choose not to take my word for it..then by all means..Go to their website at www.dwginternational.com and check it out for yourself.. read the FAQ and testimonies, and then try and tell every customer and distributor, who have stood by their products, that there is no such thing, as a wash, polisher, and cleaner, that does it all...And by the way..as usual, you once again, misinterpreted what I posted..where does it mention anything, about wax as being one of the chemicals included, in their product ?? I made it quite clear, that there is no wax, in the product..I said that it's a polisher, cleaner and protectent, and I also said, that it also leaves no wax build up, because there is no wax, in the product, to begin with..Therefore what part did you not comprehend ??? oh that's right..You still have a comprehension issue, how silly of me to forget..And just for the record. next time, make sure that you research the company's product, before claiming that their product, doesn't work or exist, otherwise keep you're negative comments, opinions to yourself...Especially, when it comes to a company or product, you know absolutely nothing about... And finally, did I ever make a negative claim, or statement about you're autopia car care products ?? NO and although, I've never heard of autopia..I would never make a negative statement or opinion about their product, for the very same reason..

And, as far as the best place, to learn how to take care of any car, is concerned..That is strictly, you're own opinion, just as it's my opinion, concerning my dri wash n guard products, so just who in the hell are you, to come into this forum and not only attempt, to discredit my opinions, as though I was trying to decieve my fellow forum members ? But you also think, you have the right, to come into this forum and also discredit and disrespect, a senior forum member, as well ?? Well, I've got news for you PAL..You don't, And just because you don't happen to agree or share the same opinion, about the car care products, that I use..Also doesn't give you the right, to make a statement that the product, doesn't exist or as you also said (doesn't do it very well ) And not only, do I take that statement, as a personal attack.. But I also take that as a slanderous attack, upon my character, as well..And let me ask you something newb ? Did I ever, make a negative statement or comment, about you're autopia website ?? Humm ?? NO.. In fact, I never mentioned a single word and WHY ?? because, I would never make such as neagtive remark, about a product or website, that I knew absolutely nothing about, and even if did know something about it, and would happen to discover, there was something, that I didn't like about it..I would never post such a discredited nor disrespectful remark, like you did..I'd simply state my reasons and would then take the time, to ask questions..And did I not say, that if anyone had any questions, concerning Dri Wash n Guard..to shoot me, a private message ?? Well, I didn't just say that, for the hell of it...I, said it for a reason, plus I also included the website, just in case anyone may have been interested, in researching the company's history, and would also be interested, in speaking with a company rep, as well...And finally, there's also an additional e-mail address and phone number to contact.. if anyone wishes to contact the company through e-mail, the web address is, [email protected] And the phone number is, 702-262-5555 AND by the way newb, my next door neighbor has used Dri Wash n Guard on his 1967 Mustang Fastback, for over 20 years.. who in fact, was the person who recommened the product, to me..And what convinced me, was the fact, if anyone would be willing to use, their product on a classic car, then it must be a very good product, and from that point on..It's all I've used on my cars, ever since..Not bad for a product, that doesn't exist or doesn't work very well eh, newb ?? As a matter of fact..why don't you try and tell my next door neighbor, that there's no such thing too, while you're at it..

Relax, man. People come here to associate with fellow enthusiasts, not start pointless and insolvent Internet wars.

Take a deep breath, unplug from the Matrix for a while, and think about how you might be interpreted by someone outside of your current mindset and context the next time you wish to articulate yourself. :)

Hi Tim, first of all, I'd like to say, that I really appreciate you're concern and support, and I couldn't agree more..In fact, not only have I come into this forum to associate with my fellow enthusiasts, but have also tried my very best, in being there for my fellow forum members, whenever they have needed support, the most..However, I'm not the one, who has started these pointless internet wars, nor is this the first time, that the member in question, has not only provoked these insolvent issues, but has also attempted to slander my character, as well..And although I realize, there's going to be times, that disagreements are going to take place, I understand that.. However, just because someone doesn't agree or share the same opinion, doesn't give anyone the right, to discredit another person's opinion, as though it were some kind of fabrication..Therefore, as a result..I was not only defending myself, but was also defending my character, because of the member in question's, negative comments as well..Anyway, I hope this provides you with a much better understanding, and should you have any questions..Your always welcome, to e-mail or send a private message...Rocky

Sometimes the best argument to make is none at all. ;)

All the best to you and yours. :)

Personally I like the Zaino line as well. However, when I wet sanded my hood to remove some scratches and orange peel. I started with 2000 unigrit and worked up to 3000 unigrit. I found that the ZPC from Zaino did not provide enough kick witha good Edge 2000 pad and a PC7336. I did find out the the Optimum compound and polishes work great.

Worked in the OPC and finished with OP. 3 coats of Z5-Pro and another 3 coats of Z2-Pro and the car looks great!

Dude, you need to settle down and stop crying everytime i post something. If you keep up with this attitude you are going to have a heart attack and die at a young age, or kick your dog, beat your wife, beat your kid, something along those lines. You are wrong as you were in the last post and instead of just dealing with it you try to insult me. You are too stressed and this is the last time i will respond to your attacks. This post is kind of a matter of opinion anyway. But in the end any fool knows that a product that does a combination of things can never do those things as well as a stand alone product applied in conjunction with others. Enjoy your high blood pressure!!!!!!!!!!:nice: :nice:

Well, given those 2 choices, I would rather protect the paint than just make it look pretty.

Again, Zaino FTW.

Thats the beauty of using both products, you accomplish both a nice synthetic shield for the paint and the carnuba makes it pretty, you can have your cake and eat it too.
