Hey guys when I'm at idle I have one cylinder thats knocking away . It just started after I put some Shell V-power 93 octane gas in my car. I am supercharged so I'm sure i need the extra octane. Any suggestions on what the problem could be and or how to fix it. Thanks Bros.
I doubt its piston slap if it just started. A lot of the 4.6 engines have piston slap which makes it sound more like a deisel under medium load, usually more noticalbe when its cold. Even if it is piston slap there are still alot of engines that have gone 200,000 miles with it. You can find a lot of info about this in some of the truck forums. You may have just got some bad gas. I'd take it easy until you run that tank out then put some good gas in it and see if it goes away.
