I am think about getting a programmer and i was just curious if the programmers will lean out my engine. I already have a cnl mass air meter on my mustang and i know that they lean you out a little bit. Do you all think that with the programmer and the cnl meter that it would lean it out to much and cause damage. A buddy of mine said that with both of these mods combined i was flirting with disaster.

Please advise.

Your buddy is right...see my sig, C&L MAF removed. My wife's 01 GT still has her C&L MAF, but the Diablo chip program is pretty old and conservative, so we have no issues with a lean condition on hers. But mine, with a modern SCT dyno tune, then topped afterward with the C&L MAF was a problem waiting to happen. I removed it, went back to the stock MAF and lost no power whatsoever.
IMO, depending on your current mods or future plans, I'd go with a custom tune rather than a generic like Diablo Predator or Superchips. CMR or SCT is the hot ticket these days.
Seems people like the predator because of the 'game boy' effect - screen, buttons, etc. In actuality, the chgs it can make are minimal. Regardless, making large scale chgs without a dyno, a/f r meter, data logger is silly and downright dangerous.
