I have an Automatic GT. I ordered gears (4:10) and realized I needed a flash tuner. Dealership only flashed for 3.27-3.73 gears, and speedcals are for manuals. So I got stuck paying 400 bucks extra for the Predator. But I'm lightening up because there are other reasons for the Predator, and I got a free 170 degree thermostat. But Question: Will the tuner ACCURATELY flash my computer for the Gear swap? I'm worried, because the law around here has really cracked down lately on speeders, and I got a warning ticket yesterday for going 1 MPH over the speed limit. WTF? So can anybody answer that please?!!!!

i've been told that it should accurately adjust for the 4.10 gears, or for whatever gears you have and program it for.

Speedometer is dead on for me. When I adjusted for the gears, it did say 4.09 instead of 4.10. Still works great.

Set that sucker at 4.09 and it will do the work for you. My speedometer is on the money and works great.

Does anyone know where in the menu you can find the Traction Control option? I haven't looked around in all hte menus but this is one thing I want to turn off badly. It is in the manual listed like it is under its own menu but this is not the case.

It should be under the Axle submenu. There should be something that says Traction or something like that. There you can turn it off.

you can permanently turn off trac control with the predator? does this mean that it is off until you change it with your predator again? or that it is off by default now, versus the normal of being on by default?

It is off until reprogrammed by your Predator.

You should be dead on with the 4.09 setting, but if you need to slightly tweak it, you can change the tire diameter size to get it exactly correct.

Ticket for 1 over? Good thing it was a warning, it would have never stood up in court. Not even the radar companies claim to be 100% accurate.

It is off.....period. You can't turn it on even by pressing the button. The amber light stays on all the time. If you want it to turn back on just plug the Pred. back in and turn it back on.

Thanks! Good to know bout. Could turn it off in the summer when it almost never rains, and back on in the winter.

Predator and 4.10s here, havent been paced by anyone but it seems right

Btw, you might not really want to run a 170* tstat. A hotter block is more efficient/powerful than a cold one. I wouldnt go below 180*.

as hot as these 4.6s run I would think that even with a 170 and fan temp cut down the engine is still going to actually be running about 180 or so ....IMO
