i wanna read codes that my computer is throwing out, but i have one problem, the diagnostic connector has only 1 wire connected 2 it, there is anoth wire haning by it but i dont think it would be useful b/c it looks corroded.... Also i have all the egr stuff disconnect, wiring, vac lines, cats, smog pump, everything. Another small ? Is there a problem with doing this? Also i have the edelbrock performer rpm intake, and there are 2 smaller vac lines on the back of it, one goes to the BAP and the other goes to the FPR? Is this right or not?

If you have a MAF conversion, the BAP doesnt get connected to manifold vacuum.

Dont accidentally connect your underhood light (a 12 volt source) to the data connector. Hood light connectors are often black.

Just vent the BAP to atmosphere and plug the vac line that used to go to the BAP.

A MAP and BAP are essentially the same thing. The only thing that differs is how it is used for the application. If you have a MAF sensor, you vent the BAP/MAP to atmosphere. If you are Speed Density, the BAP is connected to a manifold vacuum source.

You dont want to have a BAP/MAP connected to a vacuum source if you have a MAF car.

I don't run that intake so I can't say. You don't have much on the car anymore that requires accessory vacuum however. You might end up capping one or both ports.
