Went to Pocono North coarse this weekend with the PDA. It was by far the best driving event I have ever done and highly recommend this to everyone that wants to see what their stang can do.
I just finished up my suspension Saturday morning and raced on Sunday. I did Steeda front and rear sway bars, Eibach pro kit, and have a PSP intake, Bassani axle back and a SCT tuner. I was beating on Porches, a vette and an M3 all day long. I have the stock tires and that was probably the thing that was holding me back the most. But all in all this car handles amazing, a little understeer but after a few laps it was predictable. I was by far the fastest in my group (not speed wise). I was spending most of the time riding someones azz until they let me pass. Safety was the main concern of the day so you can only pass if someone waives you by. Must have been pretty hard for that 100K Porsche to waive by a mustang!!!
There was one turbo Porsche, hit the straights with him in front of me and he put at least a 30 – 40 car lengths on me. Entering the 1st turn I was on his ass the entire way through the turns, did this for 3 laps..he would walk on my in the straights and then I would be on his ass in the turns, finally let me pass after the 3rd lap of riding his bumper. I thought a Porsche was supposed to handle like it drives on rails
Well I had to stop after my 3rd run, missed the last one, one because the group of guys I was with where leaving and two because I had no brakes. I am maybe a millimeter of pads left up front and have 0% on the rear. My rear rotors are flaking and have deep scraps from the calipers grinding. So I have to replace all 4 pads and at least the rear rotors and the car only has 4000 miles on it!!!
This was an awesome weekend and I highly recommend it to everyone. Check out the website http://www.pdadrivingschool.com/ I think there is only one event left this year at limerock.
