did t-5 swap..need reverse light hookup instructions

i just did my 5 speed install, my car was an AOD. how do i wire up the reverse lights?

also, how do i wire the harness so i can start my car? the only way i can do it right now is to jump the car on the solonoid. can i just make it easy and install a push button starter?


anyone with any info please help. ive searched and this subject has been covered but not in detail at all

There will be two, maybe three wires on your existing dash harness that are taped under the dash. Simply untape these, and plug it into your clutch pedal assembly/(neutral switch on the pedal assembly, etc) that should take care of your car not starting.

as for the backup lights, you need the t5 harness. that goes from the dr side kick panel, down the door sill, around the back of the front seat and into a hole in the trans tunnel where it connects to the trans. IT's plug and play. Get one from a 5 speed car, plug it in, and you'll have backup lights.
