Hey fella's
Took off from the house and my car choked then died. It started fine but died right after. Started it again and hit the gas, I was able to make it back to the drive way but it again died. It felt like it wasn't getting gas. It starts fine but dies after 1sec of running. Any thoughts??
Im mechanically inclined but fuel injection is new to me. Plugs are good. When I got the car two months ago I constantly heard a whine from the gas tank, which I figured was the fuel pump. Could a whine be a sympton of bad fuel pump?
Basically my question is how to go about searching for the problem. Im going to check the usual, cap, rotor, plugs, batt, etc
THis is probably a easy question but I figured Id ask since fuel injection cars are new to me and the chilton manual sucks ass in this region.
Thanks for any help

you'll need a fuel pressure gauge to check fuel pressure(bad pump or clogged fuel filter)if that's ok suspect the inertia switch in the back of the hatch.try resetting it or sometimes they just go bad without tripping themselves.also could be the relay under the drivers seat.

I'll try that.
Last week I changed the fuel filter by the gas tank.
THanks for the advice
