A few days ago I was coming to a stop and the car just died. Then it took me atleast 5 minutes to get it started. It would crank, but would not start.

Finally I got it started and it did okay.

When I am going from 2.5-3k rpms I have a slight miss. For example the engine will go -------------------------------------------------.... If that makes sense.

I searched some, but for the first problem I read it could be my tfi, or distributer. Could that be the same reason I have the miss?

i shoud think a slight miss would be more like a bad or burned spark plug wire

the symptom for the dizzy problem is usually that it just randomly dies only when fully warmed up, and then it starts right up again after it has sat for a while and the PIP has cooled off. the cause is the PIP gets too hot and stops working

i am less familiar with the symptoms of a bad tfi, but they are less of an issue with our cars (as compared to the foxes) because ford moved the tfi from the dizzy to the fender starting in 1994

you can remove the tfi with the heat sink and take it to the parts store to have it tested.i think autozone can do that for you.
