I'm gonna order an MAC o/r H really soon and just wanted to know if the regular "economy alluminized" is gonna rust and/or corrode really fast...MAC makes it in that HTS/Dura-Black coated for like $30 more. I dont care at all about that 30 bucks if it'll last a lot longer. Just wondering because the place i was gonna order it from (brenspeed.com) doesnt have it in the black-coated model. Anyone know where i can order one that ships fast?? thanks.

I already ordered one from speedconcepts.net and the bastard basically stole my money and im trying to get a refund through paypal (i already posted a thread about it) so that place is not an option.

i tried out a mac x-pipe for my foxbody before.

it had the black coating your talking about. it chipped off extremely easy. wasnt suprised though, in my experience everything mac makes is garbage. with the exception of a handful of things. nothing ive tried has been good quality though.

try ebay/corral forums/mustangexhaust possibly?

I picked mine up from mustangsunlimited.com, I know they only carry the prochamber that is coated. YOU WILL LOVE THE SOUND, I recommend 2 chamber flows !!

well i know for sure im keeping my magnapacks, but i dont know about the pro chamber. Im a little worried it'll be too quiet for my taste because the chamber is basically a small muffler/resonator almost. Thats why i was just gonna stick with the o/r H. I know i want it deep sounding and not raspy so im staying away from an o/r x.

I've got the aluminized O/R H pipe from Mac and haven't had a single problem with mine..got it with 2 chamber Flows and it sounds awesome; but it doesnt rain here much and well it never really snows...so corrosion isn't really an issue for me..no problems; had mine on about 10 months though.

I've heard stories from people running the regular mac o/r pipe about it rusting out (especially in areas where it rains/snows a lot.)

I bought the black coated one from brenspeed (e-mail them and tell them you want it, they carry it,) and I haven't had any wear or anything in almost a year.. but I live in AZ so it never sees snow and very little rain.
