Difference between H-beam and I-beam rods?

Ive wondered what the differences between the 2. They both look the same to me. What are the differences, advantages, and disadvantages between them?

The look nothing alike. The H beams are a lot stronger but cost alittle more in return.

I-beam rods are only necessary when your motor makes around 450-up hp and you're racing every weekend. They work up to 6500 rpm...maybe 7000.
H-beam rods are a lot stronger but are not necessary unless you're planning on spinning the motor to 8000 rpm.

You can always have your rods shot-peened and fitted with ARP hardware.

Shot peening makes the metal more dense and as a result stronger.

shot peening just smoothes out rough spots and sharp edges eliminating areas of stress
