Difference in 94-98 doors?

desertcox05, you nailed it. After reading your reply, I went out with a piece of clear plastic sheet and a Sharpie. I put it against the driver side scoop and traced the shape. I compared the shape to both doors and it was a perfect match, but when I placed it against the body on the passenger side, it was off 1/2 in. Whoever did the body work did a good enough job that you can't tell it was ever done, but they just didn't do a great job at shaping it to the door. Good eye!

blksn955.o, you are also correct. While there has been body work done to that scoop area, making it shaped deeper than the door, the lower door hinge is also damaged. There is a crack in the weld, causing the door to hang a bit.

Just more items for my list of things to do. LOL! I did, after all, buy this car as a project car. It will be a "work in progress" for a couple of years.

The next thing (body-wise) will be to replace the front fenders. They are warped and bowed at the front, causing the sides of the bumper to flare out, instead of fitting in a nice tight seam, which in-turn, is pushing on the headlights and corner lights, making them fit badly.

The car is pretty much a Frankenstein. It's got replacement parts everywhere, not all of them installed very well. Oh well, I've never walked away from a challenge. Why start now, right?
