I am thinking about changing out my 8" granada 3.00 center section for a 3.90 or 4.11 limited slip (posi). I've been looking at ebay and I'm ready to bid. Before I do, I want to make sure the part I'm buying is in fact limited slip and not open (peg leg). Can some show me with some pics of a limited slip and an open legger so I don't get ripped off?

Also, Is it difficult for me to change the differential myself (just the spool itself) without having a press? It obviously would be cheaper to buy just the spool and do it, but I don't want to have to change EVERYTHING.

Any help or tutorial advise would be greatly appreciated.

I would personally buy from somebody you can trust. Also in my opinion don't buy a so called used one make sure its rebuilt or your probably going to have to have it rebuilt anyway. Just my .02 Maeracing.com have several good ones and there is a few companies on ebay that rebuilt them very well. They will of course cost more but you get what you pay for.
