Differential Pressure Hose

Differential Pressure Circuit Hose

Yesterady my car's SES light came on and I hooked my Predator Tuner up to it today and I'm getting P1406 which reads "Differential Pressure Feedback Sensor Downstream Hose Off or Unplugged" and I have a couple of questions:

The first isn't as important but I found a list of the codes on this site which showed this code as the upstream so I'm wondering is my tuner incorrect or the post?

Secondly where is this hose so I can look into repair/replace. I have searched and haven't found any information on location. (A picture would be greatly appreciated :nice:)

The last is what kind of money I might be looking at for replacement (if anyone knows).

I am also showing OBD2 Code P0153 "o2 circuit slow response (Bank 2, Sensor 1)." I'm not sure if this is an issue as I replaced the stock midpipe with a Bassani O/R X about a month ago so I'm thinking this is just the lack of cats; am I correct?

Thanks guys,
James

The first code is talking about the differential pressure across the EGR valve. Somthing is wrong with your EGR (probably popped a vacuum line off, or, the valve is bad or the tube is glogged with gunk.

The second code is a bad front O2 sensor on the drivers side. Just replace it with a FORD/Motorcraft OEM replacement - DO NOT USE A RANDOM ONE THEY GIVE YOU AT AUTOZONE, IT WONT WORK RIGHT! :nice:

It's probably your DPFE sensor. They tend to corrode from the inside with the constant exhaust gases flowing thru them. Also check the hoses, egr valve and regulator for proper operation. There is info on the web to test these componants. Very easy to do. You will need a vacuum pump to apply vacuum on some componants. Pearl02.

DPFE sensor went bad common problem.. but also check your evr by pulling the vac line off the egr valve and rev and hold the motor over 3k you should sense a small amount of vacumm to the egr valve.

the second code is most likely the o2 sensor.. this one is the drivers side upstream sensor ( closest to the engine)
