i went to the track a few days ago and did a few burnouts and the limited slip wouldnt engage, i had my 3.73's put in about 6 months ago, i am not sure if the mechanic put in the additive to make the fluid not as slick so the clutches would grip. i have done many burnouts with posi engaging perfectly even up to 2 weeks ago, i dont think it had anything to do with the track surface, but maybe it was? but i hope i didnt burnout the clutches on the drivers side, sorry to ramble on but i was seeing if anyone had expiriences with this kinda stuff happening or anything and any advice, thanks. it is probably to late to put in additive if they are burnt out?

peace, eden

you are correct if the clutches are gone there gone.

I would go back in and ask the mechanic what he put in. not tell him that it is out. Just ask what fluid they used. if he doest mention anything about LS freindly fluid then it is his fault. call him on it.

I am not sure how long it takes to burn up without the right fluid as I have not yet made this error personally.
