Quickie question here - i'm putting new carpet in my 67 coupe, and I was just wondering whether the dimmer switch is placed on top of the carpet, or underneath (with a slit cut through the carpet so it sticks out)?

Thanks!

The switch should be mounted under the carpet, so that it sticks through.

There also should be a plastic grommet that goes into the hole in the carpet.
