Well my lucky streak of absolutly no dings or scratches has ended today with this stupid kid at my school parking next to me and opening his door into my passenger door. Nice little ding and paint scratched off to the metal the size of a pea, but enough to piss me off. Kid agreed it was his fault, his parents agreed to pay but they want me to take it to their friends auto shop. Now since this car is in perfect condition i want the ding to be totally removed to the point where u could never tell, and i want the paint to match 100%. I'm assuming they would have to repaint the entire door to have it look like new. The reason im posting here is because I wan't to know how I should go about making sure i get the EXACT paint color match which is black clearcoat. What would be the best route here. Should I call up ford and have the kid buy the 2005-2007 ford mustang black clearcoat color from them? I took pictures of the dent, and how the kids car door swing exactly matches up with the ding so if i had to i could go after him if he refused to pay later on. I'm worried because most people say the best way is to take the ding out and use touch up paint because its almost impossible to repaint the door to match 100%
