dip stick keeps bending???????

i went to check my oil and when i pulled out the dipstick, the end of it was bent in a way it shouldn't have been.........i changed the oil, straightened out the dipstick back....and used it to check the oil, it was fine.....

then........
i let the car idle for awhile to see if it would happen again......i pulled the dipstick and it was fine.......so i ran the car for about 250 miles...i checked the oil and the dipstick was bent again...

does anyone know what is going on....???????

it could just be too long... it is supposed to be twisted on the end to fit perfectly in there... I'd be cautious not to overfil it w/ oil since the dipstick is obviously too long (or underfill it in this case...)
