Well I almost bought a Suzuki 125 over the weekend. Its a 1998 in excellent shape for $1500. My dilema is this. My son is 6 years old right now and I want to start him with an 80cc. The 125 is way too powerfull and noisey for my block. Has anyone heard of United Motors? My local Honda dealer has them. Comes with a 3 year warranty. I can get a brand new 100cc for $1600. My cousin may buy one with me so if we get two the price drops further.

Never heard of that one before...I always stuck with Honda's myself...they're almost bullet-proof...I started mine on a Z50 when he was 5....Next year he was driving a 200s wheeler....Dont take em long to pick up on riding and grow out of em...a 100 is a decent starter bike if he fits it heightwise...a 100 will likely last him a few years...Then it'll be CR125...its never stops from there... You looking for something to ride with em???
My son and I rode from when he was 5 til we both had sportbikes...great times...

I got a line on one of these at the moment....I miss my 1100...

3 year warrenty 1600 bucks. so basically even if it only lasts 3 years it is a 533 dollar investment a year to ride with your son. sounds like a cheap way for a dad and son to have fun year round.

Andy, nice ride. This is the bike I miss. Rog (Green94 5.0) on it. It was stolen a week later. 2001 Aprillia RSV65, best handling bike ever. The best rumble out of any bike I've been on. No winding the gears out to 12000rpm. This made TQ real early.

Blue, you read my mind. The DTS90 is only $1299 retail. I'm thinking this could be a great starter bike for him.
