My 96 GT now has 104,000 and to my knowledge(3rd owner) the injectors have never been cleaned.I dont know how bad they are, but it wouldn't hurt to have them cleaned anyway to free up some lost HP. Dont even bother telling me to buy a bottle of that horrible 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me' they sell. Ive heard nothing but how bad those things leave residue in your block etc etc. Basically should I take into a Ford dealership to have the cleaned? Or can "regular" mechanic garages do the job. I dont want the knuckle head average Joe dickin around like he knows what hes doing when really he generally knows a little about all cars.

Basically is it worth it for me to take it into Ford or is it not a procedure I should worry about because its easy and you cant screw it up?

just ask around to some reputable garages in your area first , if you cant find any , take it to the dealer to have it done

I just took mine to the local dealer. I'd just take it there since they a LOT specifically about Fords. But that's just me...
