last night was my first time going to a 1/4 track. Usually go to the 1/8th here in Lakeland. Well I was rather dissapointed. Note track prep was piss poor. Club 1320 down in Orlando. People with Radials where drivin right through the water boxes tracking water all over the place and nobody to clean. First time I made a pass b4 I staged I done a lil burn out to get any loose dirt off or whatever. 1/4 throttle with lil slip to get them spinnin but water must have gotten on my tires cause b4 I knew it I was about at my rev limiter. Also there was no time to play around it was just car after car after car. Well anyway here they are please feel free to critique
60' 2.262 1/8th 9.253@78.81 1/4 14.1@100.16
60' 2.195 1/8th 9.105@79.47 1/4 14.002@100.59
These where with all mods listed in sig. Power shifted 2nd and clutched Third stayed in third till I crossed. I was upset because with just my O/R hpipe, flows and K@N drop in here in Lakeland I ran a 60' 2.1 1/8th 9.05@81.5mph. With T/A, Udps, and Pro 5.0 I wanted to run a 13.7
I'll be back thoug.

Don't feel bad. I only went to the track once back in October. It was about 40 degrees and traction was a major issue. I couldn't cut a 60ft. better than 2.2 sec, I was all over the place in second gear, and my best time was a 14.26. But you have to remember what the trap speed was...mine was over 101mph. Therefore, I should be in the mid to high 13's and so should you.

Don't be upset thats really not that bad. I'll bet your losing alot of time trying to slip the clutch and then spinning on top of that. So although most people tell you to do that I found that I get much better times by just blasting right out of the hole. So try this and see what happens.
If your on your factory radials, like I run, don't do a burnout. Just drive around the waterbox and when your waived up to the lights just spin the tires quick up to the tree. When staged bring you car to between 1500 & 2000 RPM, not more. On the last yellow drop the clutch and nil the gas about 85 - 90%. The car will jump off the light but you will spin. Back out of the gas just a hair until you catch and once you do floor it. Make sure you catch before getting back into it and never shift into 2nd whil still spinning cause you'll just keep spinning and waste 2 gears. This method gets me consistent 2.0's in exact street driving form. With my rear tire pressure lowered to 22lbs I often nail 1.90's Good luck!

Well, for OSW, you want to do a burnout on radials, I don't care what ANYONE says on here. Everybody that was cutting 1.8s on street tires during ffw a couple weeks ago wasnt dusting the tires off. Other than that, with the mods you are takling about you should be cutting 1.9s on factory tires on a regular t&t night there, and running 13.5s.

This past wednesday night I was cutting consitent 2.1's with 13.7's@102.X all night with the 2 mods in sig. You should be able to run those same times. Mine is bone stock except for the x pipe and mufflers. Stock tires, stock paper filter.

Yea I definitly know there's plenty of room for improvement. I'll try launchin like they said above cause its very possible that i'm loosin time playin around tryin to get the launch down perfect between slippin and spinnin. Like I said b4 track prep was poop. Peeps where driving straight though the water box not just backin up on it but front tires and all and i didnt care for that much but oh well i'm gonn make out it out to our local 1/8th to see what I can do and possibly the 1/4 next weekend.
