Disappointed with Trickflow quality

I just got my new Trickflow Streetburner intake and it has bad tool marks on the front of it so I was a little disappointed now I have to go to the trouble of sending it back seems for 500 bucks it would be right but it happens sometimes.

its not exactly trick flow quality b/c its not like all intakes come like that it was just something that happened to it. MY Trick Flow R was flawless

That is very uncommon. I've heard nothing but good things about TFS. I'm sure you'll get no problems getting that taken care of.

First thing that popped into my head is it was a cut to help clear fuel lines. I have seen EFI intakes get a cut to help keep the cross over tubes from being stretched or pulled too tight.

Looking at it more it does look a little random/accidental.

That's what I was thinking. The crossover tube between the fuel rails tends to be a tight fit without some machining.

Hell, what do you know, it was intentional. Like mentioned above, it must be to clear the fuel lines.

You wont see it anyway. Crossover tube will be in the way..

I have always thought that looks kinda chezzy
or
You could say ... TFS did not do their homework during design

Then again ... Like was said

After you get it all together ... You can't see the grind marks

My most important thought would be

Them marks ain't gonna cost ya any hp

I went out and looked at mine. I have one small groove to keep the dizzy from rubbing, but dont have the cut up near the bolt hole... I must have an older standard one. The stock fuel line was tight to stretch across, but fits ok.

That lower actually makes the car a millisecond faster than all others because it weighs less with the material taken out.

BTW, I WISH they would have notched my TF out like that when I bought it. It was harder getting the dist and fuel lines in b4 they did that.
