My son's 2002 V6 Stang needs some new pads and rotors turned in the front. I cannot locate a shop manual as the stores only sell up to the 2000 model years. Are the front disc pads changed in the usual manner, or is there any specific items I need to look out for. This is a four wheel disc setup with no ABS.

Thanks in advance.

It is pretty straight forward. 2 bolts to remove the caliper.

2002 procedure will be the same as a 2000.

Well you have to take two 15mm bolts for the rotor retaining mount off to get the rotor off. If they have not been taken off before they may be hard to get off, get some wd40 or rust penetrator and soak the studs then hit with a rubber mallet and peice of wood to get it off.

Remember it is a 15 mm bolt head. DONT use anything else!
