disc brakes

hello everyone, im looking to convert my front to disc brakes and hopefully a versailles rear end with discs. i have 14X6 and 14X17 chrome steel style wheels and was told disc brakes will not fit in both of these wheels, that the style wheel doesn't give enough room. please tell me this is true, i can't afford to get new wheels, i love the ones i have.

the center of the rim will not fit over the rotor unfortunatly. so man no help.

the Granada/Versailles discs will fit with 14" wheels. The Granada's came with 14's from the factory.
