Hmm. I didn't realise that, good info to know.

Slightly off topic but degins, do the 71-73 spindles have the fine thread ends on them?

I'm don't know, but they are the same as 71-73 Mustang spindles.

Wil any year of maverick disc brake spindle work? I've got a 66 coupe i'm wanting too put a set on.

Yes, any all original disc brake spindles from Maverick will fit on your 66. Since all 67 and up spindles (including Granada/Maverick) have the same geometry, they will have the same affect, if any, on steering dynamics. Spindles from 74+ are Granada type (a lot less expensive to fit out), pre 74 are 71-73 type.

does that mean my spindles will work?
Yes.

If your Mustang was a V-8, the upper & Lower should, but re-check taper & diameter. Toe rods ends will NOT, as you will have to change the OTR's to the 71-73 Mustang. Again, check thread sizes, as the early Mustangs had smaller threads until some production date.

Once you are dine with this, new prop valve & MC next.
