If you notice, there is a plate below the rotor and the "gear looking thing" that is as big as the housing. It has two screws holding it in place, one is very easy to get at, and the other is kinda under the module that is in there. If you take that off, you can get to it easily.

Under that plate is the spring and weight setup. There is a good webpage that shows all this, but it is currently down. I will post it up here when it is running again.

you have a mag pickup in the dizzy. This is how your Duraspark knows when to fire, that is unless you put points in your ride...... The module that is being refered to is that mag pickup.

93LX provided the exact link I was going to give you about the duraspark distributor. Since you mentioned converting to HEI, here is another link for you:

Thanks for the info...On the Dizzy's you buy that are already made for the mustang with the GM HEI will that be easier to hook up since the coil and module are all ready installed ...so i would disconect my stock coil and my igniton box on the fender and just wire 12v to the new dist. and thats it?

why would you go with HEI to begin with? I have had friends who had nothing but problems with HEI in GM products for years... Duraspark2 had been perfoming flawlessly for over 25 years in my 82 Capri...
