Distance between front frame rail

I have a 1968 coupe that needed the radiator support and cross menber replaced do to the battery. The problem is I purchased a dynacorn replacement part and the cross member where the frame rail slide in is narrower than the existing cross member was. Does someone have a dimension of what is supposed to be between frame rails? Thanks for any help.

between the front frame rails inside to inside is 27 3/4 inches ,at the radiator support and all the way back to the floor supports.

That is a very pretty underside... I just spent 2 hours under mine on jackstands with a garden hose and soap spray scrubbing mine. A lot of grease, but no rust, so I guess it's not too bad. In 40* weather. Anyways, still doesn't look that good. I want to spray undercoating in the next few days.
