well first soak it in some lubricant (power lube, wd40 something like that) then get a swivel socket or a swivel to go inbetween the socket and extension.. just pray it doesn't break off

I use a long extension with a u-joint and a shallow socket. 1/2 fits good. And I go from up top.

ahh did someone say impact wrench???????? eeekkk.
i use a 1/4" socket and 1/4 swivel and 1/4 extension or two. you will want to adapt it to 3/8 and use a 3/8 ratchet if its in there that tight. should give a nice click and loosen up or break off. do as said, and soak it in pb or wd.
with the 1/4 stuff, the socket fits pretty nice and square.
good luck.

Has anyone mentioned a distributor wrench? Buy one if you don't have one. Should have 9/16 on on side and 1/2 on the other. Makes getting to that bolt very simple.

Yup.. I second the distributer wrench... If your short on funds, you can even get by with the cheapy from Pepgirls.. for $4.99... It works every time, and requires no funky angles, swivels, or swearing.. well ... swearing is optional...

Yes, the A/C or power steering (whichever you have on top) gets in the way of a regular wrench.

It's always easier with the right tools. A good distribrutor wrench is the easiest way.
