Distributioin block or Junction block?

I have many + leads (5) coming from an electric fan, water pump, msd etc. going from the front of the car to the rear battery + post. I have been told I need a distribution block or a junction block near the front of the car then one 2 gauge wire going back to the battery. I was told that the way I have the wires ran through the car now will drop voltage over a distance with the gauge wire I am using and may melt the wires or cause a fire.

Does anyone have a picture of one of these installed or what a junction block looks like or what I should use?
