For best results, upload video to YouTube and the post the link in your post. You will be surprised at how easy it is and how well it works

"sparks coming out from my hold down screw ". Is the bolt that holds the distributor in place what you are talking about?
What kind of sparks are you seeing - like from a spark plug or like when you short a power wire to ground?

Yeah, the bolt that holds down the distributor. The type of spark I'm seeing is like from a short
and here's a video about it View: https://youtube.com/shorts/s4jAxXgAsVw?feature=share
I have already checked all my grounds and it still does the same thing

Without testing the voltage or amps, is the color of spark different?
Those look like fairly high amp sparks. Does the EEC IV ignition system ground to the distributor body? Something is.

I would guess the pick up is shorting to the reluctor wheel inside the distributor.

Pull the cap and see if it still sparks.
I do think rednotch may be on to something though, it would be a long way to jump a spark from the cap to the distributor body.

Re-move the distributor. They sell re-manned ones @ LMR or DIY, if ya know how?

That fancy MSD should work like any other so
The rotor must be shorted out?
You shouldn't have the key on moving it around anyway or it's gonna spark, Right?
