I have Pertronix as well. Actually I bought the HEI distributor. Less wires and works nice. You can get them from the majority of Mustang resellers.

I have the Pertronix HEI also and like it. There are clearance issues because of the increased size.

I was looking at the $120.oo HEI setups for the 351C on e-bay
E-bay HEI for ford

are these worth a flip, I was planning on putting one in my 351C but dont want to waste the cash if it's not going to perform?

What he means is the size of the distributor will probably restrict what type of air filter you use and could affect the monte carlo bar. I know in my particular case I had to use a smaller air filter than normal. 10" fit perfect and looks damn good .

Very nice bay... I wasn't crazy about them touching...that's why I went with the 10". Probably not a big deal but just something I didn't want. Just curious...have you tried a monte carlo bar with that setup ?

If you get one off Ebay make sure you get a shipping quote before you buy it...

I ordered the Pertronix one which I love...I never saw them that cheap when I was looking. Doesn't mean they weren't out there though. Mine was $265

The Distributor is the size of a GM unit which is bigger around. I am running an Edelbrock intake and it has a place cast into it that hits where the locks hold the cap on if it turned too far. It is not that big a problem but it takes some work to get right.

I saw an earlier post where a guy said he had trouble with the MC bar and the HEI dist. You might want to PM just to save yourself some trouble...or hassles down the road.
