Distributor Removal

I'm not sure if this is a legit question or not but is there a trick to getting the distributor out? Like does it have to be TDS? It doesnt have any play whatsoever and the retaining nut is off. Feels like its welded it right now. Not sure if it matters but the motor is a 347 stroker. Thanks for any help.

The bottom gear is stuck, try a few light taps to loosen it. You can pry it up w 2 screwdrivers if you can get em in there. Or try prying up w 1 screwdriver while u tap the dist. Make sure you mark everything before you pull it!

If your penetrating oil does not work, back in the old days, we used to take a CO2 fire extinguisher and hit the aluminum casting of the distributor with it. The freezing cold discharge would make the aluminum contract and allow you to pull it from the cast iron block.
