I bought a new windshield banner for my car but I realized I like it a lot better without it when I took off the old one. I think I'll just keep the new one in the garage and put it back on if I ever decide to sell the car.

I'd post a pic but you've all seen them without the banner before.

I also thought of loosing the decals on the door too, but I think I leave those alone. Pretty low key anyway.

You really like it without the windshield banner? I've seen my car with and without it. It looks naked without the windshield banner IMO.

I got lucky this year getting my car inspected (VA state safety inspection). I took my car to a new place just down the road. I thought I'd see if I could get away with getting my car inspected with the banner...the guy was so fascinated by my car he hardly did the inspection and overlooked the banner!

Yeah, I did, but I'm the type that likes to shave emblems and decals. They usually come off the minute I get a new car home. I just think it looks cleaner.

I might change my mind in a few days, but first impression was I like it.

I agree. I dont like them without the banner. Steve has his name all over the cars, but removing the windshild banner is not a place I would remove. But each to his own. You can always put the new one on if you ever change your mind.

My xp8 had no banner for a while, it was very hard to find one that fit correctly, but i did find an original, and had it duplicated.
Much better with the banner.

where do you get the replacement banners at, also, my side emblems were stolen and the dealership replaced them with new ones but they are not plastic, they are like a thick rubbery sticker and the silver trim and the letters saying s281 faded horribly on them, are everyone elses plastic or sticker like....where would i get those as well...thanks

A Saleen with no banner? If you own a Saleen you want people to take notice.
If you take off all the graphics might as well buy a GT and install a Saleen body
kit. You have a Saleen Extreme Flaunt it!

Saleen has all the replacement banners and badges. Everytime I order something from Saleen, they send me a banner with my order for free I'll tell you, though, that the badges aren't cheap. I think they cost me around $50.00. Here is the link to Saleen where you can find all the badges and stickers for all years/models:

Oh, I flaunt it, I just let the 2.3L blower whine announce it's an extreme. I don't need a big windshield banner to say that.

If that banner and decals was what made the difference between a GT with a bodykit and a true Saleen, then just about every clone out there would be a "saleen". Of course, some of them try to make that arguement anyway.

The bumper number stays whatever I do, but other people knowing its a Saleen... I know what it is, I don't really care if other people do. In fact, in some cases, I'd rather they didn't know.
