Being that I've seen a handfull of people here showoff their custom A/A Intercoolers...I was wondering if anybody has taken the time to document the process, or make a list of the steps. I'm interested in trying this myself, and I'm wondering if there are any things I should consider before getting too involved. What exact parts should I look into buying? Any, where did you guys get the parts from? I'm guessing that finding room for the piping might become an issue?

Any help or 'how-to's' would be greatly appreciated. The hot air/high humidity is starting to play with the performance of my car here at the beach, and I'm looking for any options I can to help keep my Intake temps lower.

a few questions....I've listed a couple items from ebay below...does anybody see problems with these things?...would they work for my application? I'd also like to know where everybody puts their IAT sensor when they add an intercooler. I'm guessing you'd want it after the intercooler for optimal readings. Do you want it as close to the Throttle Body as possible? My last question is...how do you reclock the S/C in order to face the outlet down more...to go towards the intercooler inlet? Is this hard?

Intercooler (is this one too wide?):

All those parts will work fine. Just make sure the inlet/outlet on the cooler are 3" and the tubing is 3".

Then have at it.
