Hi ford mustang as we all know is a Love hate auto ford is almost a no way to understand there parts.fomoco used the letters in the alphabet and numbers in no acceptably understanding. I need to know if I have 302 or 351 any one can help? If you can please HELP!.

302 will have the intake almost flush with the base of the distributor where it goes into the block

351 will have about 1/2 inch lip there where the intake meets the block

Depending on the year of the block ...look in the lifter valley ,it will say 289 ,302 or 351 .
