Do I have a problem with my clutch...?

I notice a "whooshing" sound when I start my car (especially when my top is down). It's constant after the engine is running. Once I put my foot on the clutch the sound changes but it is still there. It's very noticable. Today I started my car and could hear the "sucking air" sound. Once I pushed in my clutch which would usually quiet the noise slightly, I could hear a slight "clanking" sound. The typical "marbles in a can" sound. It's not real loud but it's there. I think it has something to do with the clutch cause when I push it in, the sound changes pitch and volume. What do you think? I am ready to take her in to an autoshop.

I think I have the same thing going on with my tranny. I thought it was the TOB but I looked at it (small opening in trans) and nothing looked out of wack. Mine makes different sounds that are difficult to describe but the clutch engages fine. I am thinking I need a fluid change since it's never had one and it's a 98 (69,000 miles).

What are the best recommended brands (and weight) of fluid to use in the T45?

Does the T45 need friction modifier? What weight too? (not trying to hijack your thread GDawg) :)

Oh and when do you have the "marbles in a can" sound? Clutch engaged or disengaged?

disengaged... pedal pushed in.

Mines a '98 with 69,000 miles on it. Maybe I just need a fluid change. That would be cool.
