Hey guys

I have an 01 GT.
I know that Ford put the T3650 sometime during the 2001 instead of the T45.

I had the transmission out and was looking for something on the tranny housing but couldn't find anything except for "Tremec".

I pulled the little metal tab that's bolted to the house and have it laying in front of me.

However it doesn't seem to directly say t45 or t3650, just some letters and numbers.

What code or number sequence do I need to look for to indentify my tranny?

Thanks
Patrick

I believe that in the first half of 01 they put in T45's. In the other half of 01 they started with the 3650, but don't quote me.

If it grinds going into reverse before coming to a complete stop, then it's a T45. If not then it's a T3650.

it's easy... if there's a drain plug exactly on the bottom facing down then you have a 3650.. if it's on the side at the bottom then you have a t45
