do I have any chance of this oil pan working?

i have a bit of an :OT: or opinon question, i need to get this car on the road somewhat fast but also at a low budget. my issue is shifters for a t5, how bad is the stock?? should i buy a stock one go ahead and spend some money (give or take $100) for a used steeda tri ax or B&M pro ripper? thanks for any help

Just use the stock one? If it is not a necessity like an oil pan is I would spend that money on an oil pan. I think you can buy them new from a parts store for like 80 bucks or can prob pick up a used one cheap on ebay or craigslist.

The stock shifter isnt bad. What you need to do is get a new handle for it. The little rubber bushing inbetween the handle and the shifter is what gives it that sloppy feel. What I did was buy a shorter aftermarket handle and put it on the stock shifter. That will give you the feel of a short shifter. I've had mine like this for years and seen much track time with it and dont plan on changing it.

here is what i got for $500 and im trying to build back to life
