Thinking about going with the Eibach Sportline springs, or as a second choice, Ford C-springs cut down to a 2" drop in front. Car is a 2003 GT coupe.

I've read on one hand that GT's can handle up to a 2" drop front & rear without changing anything else, but a local racing shop told me that I should replace the struts, shocks & possibly add a bump-steer kit if I want to use the Sportlines.

I know many people on the forums have Eibach springs and nothing else...how is the rest of your stock suspension hanging in there?

I put my old Sportlines on my friends '01 GT and he still has the stock struts/shocks. I took it for a ride and I couldn't really tell it was lowered, still had a decent ride.

I told him he will eventually have to change them out but you can get away with riding on the for a while.

I have sportlines and I didn't replace my struts as of yet. Ride quality is not really that bad.

You don't have to, but with the agressive spring rate and 2 more inches of compression on stock style struts and shocks, they will wear out pretty fast. If your not planning on saving them incase you sell the car later, just run em' til they are blown and buy some decent aftermarkets like koni or bilstein.
