Do I ned to run a charcoal canister?

I am tryin to unclutter my engine compartmentand loose some weight. So far i have removed the cruese control, horns, and winsheild washer resovour, none of which worked anyway. Will my car run properly if I remove to charcoal canister? If so do I just plug the vent line running to it?

You can run without it, but don't plug up the tube. Just let it vent to the atmosphere.

mines gone now, run ran the tube down and zip tied it

If you park near a pilot light (hot water heater, etc), having the EVAP circuit open might not be a great idea.

Also, in the summertime you can get a lot of stink.
